setting down for trial

The final stage of the *interlocutory proceedings in an action begun by writ in the High Court. The plaintiff is required to file with the court two sets of documents, including the *writ, *pleadings, all orders made on the summons for directions, and certain legal-aid documents (if any). The case is then entered in the appropriate list of cases awaiting trial.
