third-party directions

Directions given by the court for the conduct of *third-party proceedings. When a third party has acknowledged service of the third-party notice the defendant who issued it must take out a summons for third-party directions. At the hearing of the summons the matters to be considered will include *pleading and *discovery in the third-party proceedings and the possible joinder of the third party as an additional defendant to the action between the plaintiff and the defendant.
